The local wild chamomile is also called “Pineapple Weed”, and if you search the internet, you will find numerous medicinal uses. Besides which, dried, it makes great tea. And it is a fairly effective contraceptive. (As is mint tea, by the way.)
However, pull several chamomile plants up by the roots, tie them in a bundle (make sure you get the dirt off the roots, unless you want dirt in your house), suspend around inside your house, and it is an efficient room deodorizer.
WARNING- do NOT use your deodorizer bunches to make tea! The resulting tea will be a grey mess that tastes of dust bunnies and room odors. I know – a friend once made tea for me that way.
